Permian Basin Play

The oil-prone Wolfcamp and Clearfork sections along with several other productive zones such as the Strawn and Canyon formations are some of Peak’s primary targets in the Permian Basin. Our operations are near the highly publicized Wolfcamp activity being carried out by EOG, El Paso, Devon, and Approach Resources, where horizontal drilling and multi-stage hydraulic fracturing are being utilized extensively.

Texas Panhandle Play

Peak’s primary targets in the Texas Panhandle are organic-rich Kansas City shales along with the Cleveland and Marmaton sandstone reservoirs. Peak drilled two vertical test wells in the Kansas City shales to gather data and collected approximately 120 feet of core to analyze.
