Glen Christiansen - Vice President, Geology

Glen brings over 16 years of O&G experience to Peak Exploration & Production, coming on board in March, 2011. He oversees Peak’s geologic responsibilities, identifying and evaluating potential prospects. The most recent evaluations include prospects in the Texas Panhandle, Midland Basin and Appalachia.

Prior to Peak, Glen was the Rocky Mountain Geology Manager at ExxonMobil/XTO Energy in Fort Worth, Texas. He has been involved in multiple unconventional resource plays throughout the Rocky Mountain region including coal bed methane, tight gas, and tight oil. Glen also spent 8 years with Burlington Resources in Farmington, NM working various plays, primarily in the San Juan Basin.

Glen graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Oklahoma State University in 1991. In 1995, he received his Masters of Science in geology from University of Wyoming.


Matthew Gray, CPL - Vice President, Land

One of Peak’s first employees, Matt has been with Peak since July 2003. He has provided land support for of Peak's exploration and production activities in the following basins/plays: Wind River Basin, Wyoming (Wind River Indian Reservation) - Anadarko Basin, Texas Panhandle (Granite Wash) - Ft. Worth Basin, Texas (Barnett Shale) - Southwest Nebraska (Kansas City/Lansing) - Williston Basin, North Dakota - Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation (Bakken/Three Forks).

Prior to Peak, Matt spent three years as a landman with Burlington Resources in Farmington, NM. His responsibilities at Burlington included securing, improving and perfecting Burlington’s legal right to drill and produce hydrocarbons throughout the San Juan Basin.

Matt received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 2000 where he majored in Petroleum Land Management/Energy Management with a minor in Finance. Matt is a Certified Professional Landman (CPL) and a current member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Four Corners Association of Professional Landmen (past president).


Mike Gray - Vice President, Permian Basin Land

Starting at Peak in November 2011, Mike brings with him over three and half decades of experience in oil and gas land work. Mike directs Peaks acreage and prospect acquisition efforts in the Permian and Delaware basins of West Texas and S.E. New Mexico.

He has served as an officer, director, consultant and manager for both public and private small exploration and production companies. Before coming to Peak, Mike held the position of Land Advisor with EOG Resources Inc.’s, Midland Texas Division. He graduated with a BBA degree from Texas Tech University in 1974.


Harald Jordan - Vice President, Engineering

Harald Jordan brings to Peak more than 20 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. His main focus is on project evaluation, front end engineering and on operations management.

Before coming on board with Peak in June 2011, he worked for BP America in a variety of engineering and operations management roles. Prior to that, Harald spent time with Burlington Resources as a senior drilling engineer in the San Juan Basin.

Harald holds an B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the Technische Universitaet Clausthal in Germany and a M.Sc. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. Harald started his E&P career with Shell International, working in the Netherlands, the North Sea and in the Gulf of Mexico.


Jeff Lowe - Vice President, Finance and Accounting

Jeff Lowe has led Peak’s finance and accounting staff since August of 2004. He has over 25 years of oil & gas accounting management experience. Prior positions include: Vice President of Finance and Accounting (Shenandoah Energy) and Coordinating General Manager for Questar Corporation’s Uinta Basin Division (Denver, Colorado) where he was retained after its purchase of Shenandoah Energy, Inc. Since 1989, he has held several accounting management positions in the energy sector, working for Ocean Energy, Inc. (Denver, Colorado), K N Energy, Inc. (Denver, Colorado), and Apache Corporation (Denver, Colorado) and others.

Majoring in Accounting, Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska (Omaha). In 1996, Jeff obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Regis University, Denver, Colorado, graduating with honors. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant license.


Victor Rudolph, P.E. - Vice President, Production

Vic has over 27 years of diverse engineering experience within the industry, having worked for Marathon Oil Company (1985 -1996), Apache (1996 -2000) and Red Willow Production Company (2000- 2004). He has worked projects in Louisiana, Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota and Montana. Vic has been supporting Peak Energy since May, 2004 with completion, production and facility expertise.

Vic graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.


William Sawyer - Vice President, Technical Services

Will joined the team at Peak Energy in 2003 and follows the industry activity making maps along with collecting and analyzing data. With 16 years of experience he has a strong understanding of geological and engineering analysis software like IHS Energy-PETRA, Paradigm-GEOLOG, and Landmarrk-ZMAP and ESRI-ArcMap.

Will received a Bachelor of Science Degree from New Mexico State University in Geological Engineering in 1995. Following graduation he worked for Halliburton Energy Services out of Farmington, New Mexico as a field engineer. In 1998, he joined Burlington Resources Inc. as a Senior Staff Technician.


Justin Vaughn - Vice President, Partner Relations

In July 2011, Justin came to Peak as the Vice President of Partner Relations. In this role, he is responsible for interacting and communicating with Peak’s various investment partners. In addition, Justin’s duties include maintaining the company’s financial model, comprehensive financial analyses of various investment opportunities and preparing investment presentations.

He brings over a decade of financial analysis and investor relations experience to the Peak team. Prior to Peak, Justin was the Chief Financial Officer of a privately-held real estate venture in Denver, CO. Preceding this, Justin worked for two publicly-traded companies, United Dominion Realty Trust from 2001 – 2005 and FirstWorld Communications from 1999 – 2001. He had also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Business Regeneration Services consulting department.

Justin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Doane College in 1995. In 1998, he obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver.
