DevelopmentPeak Energy Resources, LLC is an oil and gas exploration and development company headquartered in the beautiful southwest Colorado town of Durango.
Peak Energy was formed in November 2002 and is funded primarily by Yorktown Energy Partners (New York City, NY) with additional funding from Tecova Partners, HE Investments (a Hillman Company investment), and Murchison Capital. Since its inception, Peak has acquired and successfully developed properties in Wyoming, Texas, New Mexico, Nebraska and North Dakota. Now in its third iteration, Peak is currently active in the Williston Basin Bakken play as well as in the Wind River Basin of Wyoming and in the Mid-Continent. Peak sold its first major project to Forest Oil Corporation in April 2005 and its second project to XTO Energy in July 2006. |
